Live and silent auctions will feature something for everyone, from signed Blackhawks jerseys and amazing luxury vacations, to local spa and restaurant gift certificates and wonderful faculty offerings.
Purple Wave 2015 Emotional Appeal
Proceeds from the 2015 Purple Wave Emotional Appeal will launch a three-year phased program refining and revamping the School foodservice operation and establishing a comprehensive JK-12 food-education program. Specifically, the goal is to raise $75,000 to cover new kitchen equipment as the School commits to a made-from-scratch program, and to update and streamline the serving area including the addition of a new checkout system to improve the flow of students into the lunchroom.
Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to the Emotional Appeal during the live auction portion of the evening. If you’re unable to attend, you can contribute via the online auction website supported by AuctionsByCellular.
For more than 26 years, the Benefit Board at North Shore has raised funds through its annual event. Since 2000, the Benefit Board has raised $4 million to support areas of the School not covered by the annual operating budget, such as the Curriculum and Teaching Fund, the Benefit Board Supplemental Scholarship Fund, faculty enrichment grants, and major capital projects, such as the renovation of the Lower School, the construction of the Conant Science Center, and most recenlty the renovation of the Auditorium and Arts Center. In addition to fundraising, the annual event brings together the entire North Shore community in a warm, friendly environment where parents, faculty, alumni and friends of North Shore connect, socialize and, most importantly, have fun.
