North Shore Country Day School
|The John Almquist Gallery is a professional exhibition space on the North Shore campus. The gallery hosts three shows per year that feature the work of regional professional artists. The gallery strives to share a diverse selection of art forms. Members of the surrounding Chicagoland community are invited to attend opening receptions, visit exhibits and become familiar with this rich aesthetic resource at our school. The space is a unique teaching tool that enhances North Shore's JK-12 visual art curriculum. Students explore the exhibits and often have opportunities to meet and speak with exhibiting artists during the academic day. As a cultural force the John Almquist Gallery broadens an individual's understanding of art and affords an invitation to heighten one's global perspective.|
