We are given many opportunities that students at a bigger school would not get. I took an elective this year called Advanced Open Research, and was provided with many resources on how to conduct an experiment and write a research paper. I would not get such an amazing opportunity at any other school. As students, we are given plenty of room to explore different subjects. It’s through these types of opportunities that students then discover what they are passionate about. Students at North Shore are well trained in public speaking and presenting to large audiences, which is a skill that useful for many different careers. In addition, I feel confident that our English teachers have prepared us very well for college-level writing and beyond.
