At NSCD, we develop critical thinkers, collaborative problem solvers and caring citizens of the world. We’ve spent 100 years creating a culture where relationships catalyze learning. Where children learn to take risks and make their own connections from grade to grade, year to year.
North Shore Country Day School administers its educational programs, including admission and financial aid, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation or national origin.
"North Shore is about this idea of empowering kids for ownership of their learning and giving them opportunities. The teachers know it’s not about the grade, it’s about learning the material. It’s about actually understanding something... I love that!"
Our largest Admissions event of the year is our annual Open House. Intended for prospective parents and students — junior kindergarten (4 years old) through 12th grade, the event is broken out by division and includes a tour of our campus; meeting faculty, students, and current parents; and ample time for asking questions and learning more about a North Shore education.
North Shore Country Day School is a junior kindergarten through 12th grade, college-preparatory school founded in Winnetka, Illinois in 1919. With rigorous academic pursuit as the cornerstone, North Shore provides many opportunities for all students to excel – in the classroom and the laboratory, on the stage and the playing field, in their communities and beyond.
