The NSCD upper school theater troupe, The Duff Players, is performing “You want some lunch? You betcha!” on November 18, at 4 p.m. in the auditorium. The Duff Players is a cast of upper school students tasked with bringing to life a collection of third and fourth grade stories through movement, music, costumes, props and much more. The cast worked on the art of storytelling and submersed themselves into the imagination and heart of each piece. The upper school crew worked on creating an environment where truly anything could happen and be created in an instant, visually setting the stage for success.
All ages are welcome and the run time is approximately 40 minutes. Tickets are $7 for students/children and $9 for adults.
Please come to the auditorium lobby to purchase your ticket and be seated. Seats will be distanced and families will be grouped together. You must follow your assigned seating in case contact tracing is needed. Masks must be worn during the entire show.
North Shore Country Day’s annual 10-minute play festival “Take 10” returned to the stage on April 13. For the first time in three years, students performed their original plays in front of a live audience with performances in the NSCD Auditorium.
All seven plays were written, produced and directed by students in the upper school directing class. Some were based on personal experience, observations and media events, while others stemmed from pure creativity. Once the scripts were finalized, the student directors held auditions, cast the roles and ran their own rehearsals.
