You Can’t Sit With Us… Unless You Have a Ticket to ‘Mean Girls’

The upper school spring musical, “Mean Girls,” opens this Thursday, and a limited number of tickets are still available. Follow Cady Heron (Georgia Dougherty ’28) as she navigates the wild and sometimes vicious halls of her suburban Illinois high school, takes on Regina George (Deming Gantz ’26) and the notorious Plastics, and discovers that crossing a queen bee comes with consequences.

“I chose ‘Mean Girls’ not only because it’s relatively new and so many students love the music and storyline, but also because the message of female empowerment is beautifully wrapped up in this early 2000s satire,” explained theater teacher and director Julia Macholl. “While there are iconic moments from the movie, TIna Fey wrote a great adaptation that fits perfectly within our modern high school world while still bringing the edge audiences have come to expect.”

Performances run March 12-14 at 7 p.m. in the NSCD Auditorium, with a run time of approximately 2 hours (with a 15-minute intermission). Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and alumni.

Be sure to grab your tickets and join us for what promises to be a fantastic show. After all, seeing “Mean Girls” live? That’s so fetch!
