Interim Week

One week in the fall set aside from regularly scheduled classes for students to participate in an in-depth experience of educational value outside the traditional classroom environment. Teachers seek to establish a learning experience that will challenge students to expand their horizons. The philosophy of the Interim Week reflects the origin of the word education: to lead out into the world.
Recent Interim Week offerings have ranged from studying marine biology in Florida and working for Habitat for Humanity to experiencing Native American culture in the Southwest and attending workshops in improvisation at second City.
