This is the eighth anniversary of the Dunk Alzheimer’s Basketball Bash, an event created by alumnus Jonathan Segal ’15. He created the event in honor of his grandma who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s at age 60. He saw the various athletic teams wearing pink in support of breast cancer, and he had the idea of the basketball team wearing purple in support of Alzheimer’s. Purple is the national color of the fight against Alzheimer’s as well as one of our school colors.
As the event has grown over the years, the message of awareness has remained our main focus. We hope that Dunk Alzheimer’s will help raise and spread awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, and we need your help!
If you are interested in supporting the fight against Alzheimer’s, you can donate here. Please feel free to donate even if you can’t attend the event.
We hope to see lots of students and families on January 21.
