Benefit Board

The Benefit Board is excited to announce our first ever
Scholarship Dinner — O’er The Fields We’ll Go!
Saturday, February 24, 2018, 6:30 p.m.

Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for an evening of food, fun and fundraising—all for a great cause! After many years of organizing an annual Purple Wave Auction fundraiser, we are delighted to turn our focus to creating a special evening dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships and supplemental support.

The Scholarship Dinner supports a major initiative from North Shore’s Strategic Plan and amplifies our historic commitment to student financial aid. North Shore has had a scholarship program since its opening in 1919.

In addition to this new focus, we have also a new venue—The Michigan Shores Club—that opened in Wilmette in 1904, 14 years before NSCDS was established. We will gather at Michigan Shores for a lovely evening of cocktails, dinner, two or three special auction items, a raffle and the premiere event—a paddle raise for scholarships. The ticket price is $175. All members of the North Shore community are invited to attend.

For more than 36 years, North Shore’s Benefit Board has supported the School through an annual fundraising event. In total, the Benefit Board has raised more than $5 million to fund areas not covered by the annual operating budget, such as curriculum and teaching fund grants, student scholarships and faculty enrichment grants. They have also helped fund major capital projects including the renovation of the Lower School, construction of the Conant Science Center and renovation of the Auditorium and Arts Center.
