Performing Arts

Since our founding in 1919, all students have been encouraged and welcomed to "take the stage." Courses are designed to for students to build a foundation of skills in music and drama, and to continually develop those skills through a variety of classroom and performance experiences. Opportunities include vocal and instrumental music, acting and technical theater.

2018 Spring Musical: The Music Man
North Shore Country Day School Performing Arts is pleased to present this year’s spring musical, The Music Man.

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

The Music Man is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
